Since childhood Athena has performed in several theatrical productions where she developed her passion for acting. Athena earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the renowned school of Criminal Justice, Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas. While attending Sam Houston University, Athena ran for political office (city council) honing a skill for public speech and debate. After graduating from Sam Houston State in the spring of ’95, Athena decided to focus her attention on acting full time.

She moved to Houston and booked several commercials and films, and a year later, moved to Los Angeles. Since that time she has appeared in several films, television shows, and commercials such as Battle Star Galactica: The Second Coming, The Man Show and Power Rangers. Athena studied with Stephen Book. His innovative technique of applying improvisation to acting and scene work has brought great growth, insight and skill to Athena’s talent. She works as a figure model for various artists, studios, and schools. Several pieces of artwork inspired by Athena can be seen in the ART GALLERY. Some of the artists include: Jonathan Bickart (sculpture), Barbara Fritsche (painting), Mara Plotkin (painting) Mike Butkus (illustration), Jhoneil Centeno (painting), Eric Clark (photography), Jon Roe (painting), Robh Ruppell (illustration), Christa Zinner (sketch), Disney Studio, Dreamworks, Film Roman, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros. TV and Feature, Animation Academy, Art Center of Pasadena, and many more.

Side note about the name: Athena’s namesake comes from the ancient Greek goddess of Wisdom and Warriors. Her Roman counterpart was Minerva. The name Demos means “of the people.”
